 WHAT IS A NEW CREATIVE YEAR WORTH TO YOU?

Are you on top of things? Have you started out right since the new year began? Just to make sure you don't beat yourself up, I just wanted to say that my start went off quite slow. However I decided not to get into that nagging feeling of being thrown off the wagon so after a few inspiring youtube videos I took a strong start in the studio and now at this moment finished off two paintings - so actually when it comes to feeling behind I cannot give you any more valuable advice than just get in there, no matter what and just focus yourself on whatever tiny little thing that you can make. Soon the workingspace will feel warm and you will have a result at the end of the session.

MY CONTRIBUTION TO THE ARTISTCOMMUNITY 2019

The creative life should be fun don't you think? I know that I do and knowing that, and still finding the daily creative work being challenging and finding that we still get stuck from time to time I have started to making my way around that issue.

THIS IS WHY I have started to teach others on how to gently pass through that passage with joy and stillness at the same time. In a process that is both meditative and concrete it will take less than 2 days for the participants on the journey on becoming more free and feeling confident about their own creative expression.

IS THIS SOMETHING FOR YOU TOO?

EVA-LI HANSSON NEW AND UNIQUE ARTWORK ON SHOW!

This summer has been filled with artwork, working on my art surrounding myself with colors and thinking about my preparation for my upcoming EXHIBITION "RESURRECTION ∼ finding new pathways. And now, soon very soon it will open its doors for the public for 6 days.
During this time I will make it possible for all of my Swedish followers, buyers, collectors and artloving people to find out more about my artwork. I decided to make this possible since my exhibitions for the past years has been abroad, not making it available for the local Swedes to visit my exhibitions.

During these days it is possible to view my artwork in a very intimate, warm and friendly setting. As I will be present all of the days during the EXHIBITION at GALLERY UPSALA, you can have the time to contemplate and get a deeper sense of my artwork, without any stress which also will allow time for a conversation to spur.

HOW TO KEEP ON BEING PASSIONATE ABOUT YOUR EXPRESSION!

We all keep on striving for moments of passion and our true expression (I know I am) so how do we find inspiration to go on even if our circumstances are not that bright at the moment?

I must dedicate a homage to Bill Cunningham this day since he passed away yesterday from a stroke and left a legacy of work for all the rest of us to find out or to devle in for our inspiration. He had a sense of simplicity yet a delicacy in his point of view from the street and his bicycle. I wrote a blogpost about Bill Cunningham and his work because as I watched the documentary made by First Thought Films it became a true inspiration to keep in mind when the wind is blowing and you need to nurture yourself as an artist. If you can, grab a copy of the film or read my blogpost as a friendly -"Thank You" Bill for what you have done for us over the years - I'll bet all of the FASHION HOUSES are in deep sadness today RIP BILL.

THE UNIVERSAL ARTIST PRIZE!

Starting my year on a high note, by getting 1st International Leonardo da Vinci - Universal Artist Prize at Borghese Palace in Florence 2016, my year feels like it has set a course.

It is such an honor to be awarded with a prize like this, because it acknowledges my artistic expression and with it comes a reminder on keeping up, just keeping up working.

I am very proud to award you with the International Prize Leonardo Da Vinci - The Universal Artist.
The Prize is for the Artists that are worth for their artistic merit.
You will be awarded on January 29th, 2016, inside the  Borghese Palace in Florence.

It is one of the most prestigious art awards awarded in the heart of Florence.
Important celebrities from the world of culture will be present at the ceremony and the talented artists will be awarded with an important prize for their careers.
In the January/February  number of the magazine Art International Contemporary, we will realize an introductive piece dedicated to Leonardo Da Vinci’s artistic talent; following to the piece the publication of the selcted artists’ artworks.
In the heart of the ancient Florence, near ‘’Piazza del Duomo’’ and ‘’Piazza della Signoria’’, Borghese Palace is one of the most significative example of  Neo-Classic architecture of the state capital, Florence. Even if its facade is majestic, this palace could seem hidden by the strict road. But once you come in, the beauty and the elegance are dazzling: the large honour salon brings to the Mirrors’ Room, that was the bedroom of Paolina Bonaparte.
The prize is given to those artists who has been chosen by Mr. Russo.

How many times would you say that it is needed to explore another level of truth within self? 
I would say that it is an ongoing exploration in life, perhaps to stay more humble and with a sense of GRATITUDE, that we once again can change whatever part of ourselves that we wish to change ∼ so also in my paintings and ART WORK. 

After a truly challenging and non resting phase of my new art CREATION I headed for ARTMONACO 2014 held in MONACO. It was a gift to be invited at this ART EXHIBITION, which by the media is considered as "the most prestigious and certainly poshest art shows in the French Riviera." 

With so many talented Artists I felt grateful for being selected with my ARTWORK for so many reasons, one was how my ARTWORK was selected by the jury to participate and the other was that it represented the gallery for this year. So all of my hours being in the studio doing THE WORK and letting myself go the extra mile NOT to be caught up in other agendas and staying committed to my INNER VOICE and flow, payed off in an amazing way. It was not always easy - I had times when I struggled with being CLEAR - not trying to look at ART WORK that I had done before, so I had to remind myself WHY ∼ the strongest reason WHY I do this. THE ART WORK is NOT ABOUT ME…………it is all about YOU! 

YOU……...all of you out there, is the REASON why I do ART ∼ it is my strongest contribution to all of you during my time here on earth. If for a second you feel something great coming from being exposed to my ART WORK it then; became my contribution to YOU. So ∼ I hope to see you one day at my next EXHIBITIONS and if you visited ARTMONACO this year and perhaps had a moment ∼ feel utterly FREE to give me a comment or two below.

DID YOU EVER WONDER WHAT BEING PASSIONATE LOOKS LIKE?    

Have you been searching for that MOJO in your life's pathway? How does it feel and what does it look like to be passionate?

I’ve written a few posts on the FLOW, on being connected to that greater part of yourself, but how can you tell that someone is in PASSION MODE?

Just take a closer look at the well-acclaimed Photographer Bill Cunningham from THE NEW YORK TIMES and his work! I saw a documentary on Swedish TV about his life and work. The documentary portrayed a man over his 80s – still going about in NY with his bike and his camera.

BILL Cunningham’s PASSION for beauty is portrayed in every day life in NY and as he is riding his bike; he captures every little shift of influence from all and everyone. From RAGS to RICHES he manages to blend them all together to later on become a footprint in his GALLERY OF THE DAY.

Bill claims his mastery by being able to collect the influences, vaguely appearing to become the next major trend in fashion houses all over. But it is not about fashion – it is homage to BEAUTY – CREATIVITY – PASSION and SOUL.

BILL CUNNINGHAM doesn’t care if you are a celebrity or a nobody, what he is inspired to capture is all about what a creation brings to the world. A TRUE ARTIST that is, to be able to acknowledge ART – INSPIRATION and DARING expression and influence.

STOP COMPETING AND WIN EVERY GAME IN LIFE!

DO YOU THINK YOU CAN WIN ONLY BY COMPETING?

You have heard it many times before; “you have to be better than……, “you have to out perform him/her,” the only way you can win is if you beat whoever you think might be in competition with you.

So this is how we are raised – to think that we have to compare and compete to be the first or to get recognition. This mindset creates a sense of DULLNESS and restrains us from being the best that we can be. Since the mind is set to compete and compare, the CREATIVE part never sets in and we lose out on the most FRUITFUL part of ourselves.

If we are looking to compete and never inspire ourselves to ignite that part which holds the CREATIVE essence we will never be more than a COPY of somebody else. That copy will soon fade away and you will begin to feel numb and the DULLNESS turns up like a POSTMAN ON YOU DOORSTEP.

Do yourself a favor ∼ STOP COMPETING and learn how to ignite your CREATIVE PART instead! While you start to ignite some CREATIVITY in your life you will soon notice that you expand and you’ll see that your expression will become more fuller, more ignited, more colorful and in that, you will notice whenever you are not using that part of yourself, that so many times leads to a NEW CREATIVE PART. If you find yourself not knowing how to start an action to a release that will make you feel better with yourself continue reading about being CREATIVE or come back here again and I will give some more tips on how to gain a fuller expression of self.  

A person who never competed was WALT DISNEY, he lived by a devise that said:

WHY ASKING SOMEONE ELSE FOR ADVICE COULD BE YOUR DOWN FALL

Is your path laid out? Yes in many ways you could say so. Therefore one could argue that an opportunity never could be missed, if then - what would be your next step?

Everything is set for your own creation, all the pieces are present, the people you are supposed to meet, the right circumstances, the opening of all pieces to come together, the WINDOW is wide open - and YOU HESITATE - it seems like it is too good to be true- and you decide to ask someone for advice. THIS IS YOUR BIGGEST MISTAKE!

Like a PHOTOGRAPHER – when he/she looks through the lens, waiting for the window of opportunity, to be able to catch the right light, the air vibration of swirling particles and the moment when all aspects are in the perfect moment for a shot. This WINDOW will not come back again and it will haunt you if you don’t catch it, because in the minute you just turn your back to go and get something ∼ THE MOMENT IS LOST – GONE!

WHY WAITING AND THINKING ABOUT AN OPENING AND OPTION WILL MAKE YOU FORGET YOUR TRUE INSPIRATION!

Since no one ever could know your truth, your longings, a passion you have or your path, no person could give you their advice. Often when we ask someone else for advice in crucial times we end up with nothing that is ours. If we do listen to someone else's opinion on our quest and path, we usually end up with nothing.

Let me explain -
You made up your life with all its attributes. There is always a knowing of what you should have the greatest joy from- this is because your soul is guiding you in the right direction.
So every day you create your next experience with the guidance of what it is you are supposed to do or experience in life.
No one else could tell you if an opportunity that comes in your way is right for you or not, this is why I made this LIST on REASONS why you SHOULD NOT ask someone else for advice.

Have you ever noticed how much we tend to follow the mainstream when it comes to Holidays? VALENTINE DAY is here; filled with wrapped chocolate, burning roses, scented silk stockings with a tint of pink, bubbling champagne and a dinner with lobster and crisp greenies.

Looking at this, we wait for some one else to fill us with LOVE, but the truth is we are all LOVE in ourselves. So how could VALENTINES DAY become our every day?

By deciding that LOVE is what matters every day ~ the LOVE that you are in yourself. To become filled with love ………STOP WAITING FOR VALENTINE LOVE ~ become a VALENTINE in every moment by applying these tricks;

❤     Make sure you always thank someone for just being who they are.
❤     Did you encounter a good moment which was most unexpected ~ thank that person or place involved
(I remember when I went to a hotel and I was filled with awe at the service, the attention to details to me as a costumer, the surroundings and atmosphere that they created. I called the owner of the hotel and thanked him for giving me as a guest, a beautiful, enhanced and joy filled forever unforgettable moment).

 ❤    Wash the car and feel utterly posh as you are gliding through the neighborhood.
❤     Embrace yourself with lush scent and a nice bath, make sure you end it with a nice massage.
❤     Bring out your festive plates and cutlery and serve yourself the best meal that you could think of.
❤     Send LOVESHOTS to everyone that you meet and watch everything become rosier.

There is someone that I always write a Christmas card to, since a few years back now. I have never met this people in real life, but when it comes to closing the year and celebrating a new year that is opening up, I always write these people a warm reminder of my thoughts that I spend thinking of them. So by doing this I GIVE of my LOVE to them, that in its self is my gift of the year. So, sometimes you give a thought, a gesture, an invitation, a tiny thing or perhaps you revel in something bigger ~ however we see it, our choices ALWAYS make an imprint!

SCREW GOAL SETTING - HEAD FOR INSPIRATION INSTEAD!

Well, it is the time of the year when we all walk around thinking about if we are going to give our promise when we raise our glasses, to celebrate another year into its birth.

Many great advisers and self help gurus tells us that the most important thing to focus upon is GOAL SETTING. I think you have tried it and in some cases it worked and in some it didn't, in many ways we are in for a surprise when we analyze it even more, just to find ourselves promise something that is not in our deepest belief or intention.

Why is that? Why are we doing us a dis service like that and during a time when we could delve deeper into a greater part of ourselves, that actually is most in tune with who we really are?
Ever since childhood we have been programmed into thinking that most of our success lies in making that PROMISE and GOAL for the coming year, it has even become a ritual in which we need to feel that if we don't have our list with all our GOALS the year will likely not be what we wish for. Now this can cause a great deal of stress and in many ways we become shallow in our searching for our true intention.


SO my most happy advice to you is to SCREW GOAL SETTING and become much more aware of what it is that INSPIRES YOU! Because in INSPIRATION you are bound to succeed! Inspiration lets you expand on what is truly in your nature and soul, and that can never fail!
